The Best Golf Resorts for Your Dream Vacation

Discover the Ultimate Golf Resorts for the Perfect Getaway

Planning a beach vacation this Summer? Golf Superstore is here to help with this week’s blog. We will be recommending three excellent golf course resorts located in Florida. Each golf course is located in various regions of Florida. Additionally, even though most of these resorts give the players an option to stay on the course during the entirety of the vacation, it is worth mentioning that it is not necessary to stay on the property in order to play. So, if you are already planning on being in an area near one of these golf courses, I would highly recommend making a reservation to play a round of golf.

Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort

Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort

One of my favorite golf resorts in Florida, Sandestin is situated on the Emerald Coast in the Miramar Beach area. Sandestin offers four different courses to players. The four courses are The Links Golf Club, Baytowne Golf Club, Raven Golf Club, and Burnt Pine. Each of these courses are unique and offer varying qualities.

The Links Golf Club at Sandestin

The Links Golf Club can be found near the Baytowne Marina and Choctawhatchee Bay which makes for breathtaking views as the game of golf is being played. Aside from the excellent views, the Links Golf Club received a rating of 4.3 out of 5 stars from Golf Advisor. The course features a traditional design that incorporates elements of the natural landscape, including marshes, ponds, and towering pines. Additionally, The Links Golf Club offers a practice area, including a driving range and putting greens, where golfers can warm up prior to playing a round. I would recommend The Links for golfers at an advanced level, though it can be played by beginners and advanced golfers, this course is considered to be challenging. Baytowne Golf Club at Sandestin

The next golf course in Sandestin's property is Baytowne Golf Club. Baytowne Golf Club’s course stretches 6,804 yards and consists of a par-71 layout. Regarding the landscape, the scenery consists of towering pines, long lakes, and marshland that can all be seen while playing. Sandestin maintains renowned greens and Baytowne’s greens certainly demonstrate that. Each green is carefully and pristinely well manicured. Structurally, I would say that this course has a range of fairways meaning that there are a variety of layouts making it optimal for golfers at any level. Golf Advisor rated Baytowne Golf Club 4.1 out of 5 stars and the course itself has received national recognition from several golf magazines and companies. If you are in the area, I would highly recommend trying out Baytowne Golf Club at Sandestin. To learn more about booking and pricing, use the hyperlink below.

Raven Golf Club at Sandestin

The third golf course that Sandestin has to offer is Raven Golf Club. Rated 4.4 out of 5 stars by Golf Advisor, Raven Golf Club spans 6,900 yards and is a par-71. This course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. as an exciting way for golfers to experience the golf course. More specifically, as Jones Jr. puts it, Raven Golf Club is, “a true modern traditional.” This course certainly exemplifies that description as it is situated amid the pine trees and marshes of Sandestin. In 2006 and 2007, the Raven Golf Club’s course hosted the PGA tour as it was one of the destinations. The greens on this course are notably challenging as they require the golfer to be strategic while carrying out their short game. Therefore, if you are a golfer looking to put your short game to the test, the Raven Golf Club should be a stop on your bucket list this Summer. Burnt Pine at Sandestin

The last golf course that we will be highlighting at Sandestin is Burnt Pine. According to Golf Magazine, Burnt Pine is the, “Crown Jewel of Florida Golf.” Structured over 7,000 yards, Burnt Pine offers breathtaking views of lakes and pine trees. Nestled into Sandestin’s resort, this course is a par-72. It is worth mentioning that access to Burnt Pine is limited and typically reserved for members as it is kept in pristine conditions and offers exclusive amenities. Further, as a golf course that is ranked 5 out of 5 stars by Golf Advisor, it is high-quality, well-maintained, and has received high recognition from  various golf organizations. Additionally, The Match’s set-up challenges the meaning of a traditional golf course through architectural differences and interesting design features. With little hazards and high quality turf, The Match is an excellent option for golfers at any level who are looking to get a group together this Summer.
