COBRA DRIVERS – DIFFERENT STROKES FOR DIFFERENT FOLKS

Watching Rickie Fowler and Bryson DeChambeau using their beautiful Cobra drivers has left a great impression on almost everyone; they are one of the hottest and newest clubs on the market! These clubs introduced themselves with the “Baffler” utility wood in 1975, a technology still being used in a number of Cobra clubs today. Ever since, the fandom of the Cobra drivers has grown exponentially. This brand lacks no innovation where Cobra is concerned. Remember the 46-inch driver,  it was longer than standard to help golfers get more distance? Well, we want to introduce you to the newest and the best drivers on the market. To help you make sense of the high-tech new clubs on the market, we have put together all the latest offerings from one of the top golf club manufacturers to make the best and easiest decision.

Comparison of LTDx, LTDx LS, and LTDx MAX spin, launch, and forgiveness.

 COBRA LTDx Driver

The LTDx driver features PWR-COR Technology, a multi-material weighing system that places as much weight as possible low and forward, with 19 grams positioned immediately behind the striking zone. This is done to deliver maximum speed to the golf ball while reducing spin upon contact. A driver with zero CG (Centre of Gravity) and 5200 MOI (Moment of Inertia) has been created for the first time. This driver  is engineered to provide Longest Total Distance (LTD) by combining low spin, quick ball speed, and exceptional forgiveness.

Due to the PWR-COR Technology mentioned and an extra tungsten back weight, the driver has a lower spin with higher forgiveness, making it a great driver for a diverse range of players. The new HOT (Highly Optimized Topology) Face Technology, which creates more ball speed for the same swing speed, is tuned for speed using machine learning and CNC machining. After gaining data from thousands of impact simulations, multiple zones, with perfected thickness, the Cobra LTDx has been improved for ball speed across a larger face area.

The new LTDx driver from Cobra is lighter and more durable. A multi-material structure with up to 30% carbon makes it more lightweight and stable due to a titanium chassis.   Because of the revised design's weight savings, the PWR-COR has more extra mass low and front to increase speed. In addition, each model and loft are offered in a limited number of genuine aftermarket shafts. To get your perfect performance, you may choose from various structures and weight profiles.

Cobra LTDx LS Driver

Are you a skilled player with fast swing speeds? Then you are looking for the Cobra LS driver. Most of the LS weight is low and forward for lower, penetrating flight . LS driver shares almost the same characteristics as LTDx, with the main difference of LS aiming more towards elite golfers with higher speed. Featuring the PWR-COR Technology, it positions a substantial amount of weight low and forwards for faster ball speed with reduced spin. This driver’s traditional shape and forward weighting allows for improved workability. The driver has the most downward spin with the medium forgiveness and most workability among her other rivals, the LTDx and LTDx MAX.  With a lower MOI compared to the highly stable LTDx, the LTDx LS driver is more traditional, with a less-stretched shape, and pushes most of the head’s discretionary weight forward.

As for the new HOT Face design, the driver has created multiple zones with thicknesses to increase ball speed across a larger face area. The LS is lighter and has a more substantial construction with the same features as LTDx to maximize weight savings so we can position more mass low and forward in the PWR-COR to increase speed. A club’s performance is a product of each of its components, so we use premium aftermarket shafts in our drivers and therefore each model and loft are available in various forms and weight profiles to find your ideal performance.

Cobra LTDx MAX Driver

The LTDx MAX driver combines the strong forgiveness of the LTDx driver with an adjustable heel weight position that lets you fine-tune the amount of draw bias you need. For this driver, the spin, unlike the others, is low-mid with a high launch and extreme forgiveness. The PWR-COR Technology positions a substantial weight low and forwards for faster ball speed with an additional tungsten back weight takes our fastest driver and makes it highly forgiving and playable for a wide range of players.

Similar to its other two siblings, the LTDx MAX driver’s HOT Face Technology has been created to increase ball speed across a larger face area. With lighter and more robust construction, the design maximizes weight savings to position more mass and low and forward in the PWR-COR to increase speed. A club’s performance is a product of each of its components, so the premium aftermarket shafts are used in this driver. They are designed with premium material to provide maximum stability with varieties of structures for each model and loft and weight profiles to find your ideal performance.
